How To Treat A Hurting Throat Caused By Choking It?

Husband and I were having some great rough sex, & he choked me for about 4 or 5 seconds a couple of times. However, he did it too hard. Now my left side of throat and left ear hurt. It hurts doing nothing, swallowing, yawning, ect. What exactly is wrong, how long will it last, & what can I do to help it.

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You seem to have suffered a soft tissue swelling within your throat which in all probability will become in a week or so.
Since you do not have any difficulty in breathing, voice change or swallowing I would not worry too much
take an antirelfux tablet like pantoprazole and pain killer like paracetamol and if your problem persists then get an upper GI scopy and get back to me or any ENT with the reports

get well soon

regards

Dr Sriram Nathan
