How To Treat A Lump On The Tubes Leading From Testicle?

Hello, my fiance and I have been TTC for over a year. I had some bloodwork done a few months ago and everything was normal, plus I have a child from a previous relationship. He found a lump on the tubes leading from his testicle about 2 weeks ago. (it is on the backside of the testicle and can be moved around in there, it seems to be attached to the tubes near the top of the testicle.) He says it is painless. It is pea sized and pointy on one end and round on the other, like a candy corn. We have a Dr. apt on friday to get it looked at. I am wondering if this could be causing infetility, what it could be and what tests and questions to ask at the appointment.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The history suggest the possibility of epididymal cyst, and next possible cause could be thickened chord, other possible cause vascular dilatation, fluid collection.
2.The investigation of choice in this case will be examination followed by an ultrasound scrotum.
3.The ultrasound will help evaluate the nature of the lump, source of the lump and its extensions.
4.In case of mass lesion FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology needed to assess the nature of the cells involved in the process.
5.Need to evaluate the cause - only then one can tell the ability of fertility.
6.Get an appointment and needful investigations and treatment accordingly. good luck.
