How To Treat A Mosquito Bite?

I have been bitten by a mosquito yesterday on my left leg, I did not sense that i was biten until my leg suddenly started to itch and when I reached my leg to scratch it a big brown anopheles mosquito flew off with a big bulging red tummy. Well my leg continues to have itchy sensations from the spot I was bitten. whats wrong. I am afraid and all I know in my head is elephantitis.

mosquitoe bite usually lasts only for some times you can say hours. so probably it is not a mosquitoe. secondly if it is mosquitoe elephantitis is not the possibilty. because it requires a long time to develop elephantitis. elephantitis is a lymphedema of leg caused by wucheria bancroftii parasites and usually occures after culex mosquitoe bite not by anpheles bite. but even if you are in endemic area of elephantiits you should start DEC.
