How To Treat A Painful Red Mark With Yellow Mucus Near Buttock?
Hi, I had a red mark at the beginning of the butt crack, which has now elevated slightly and has started producing a yellow mucus. It is painful to lie down. what should I do? and is there a way to treat this without going to my Doctor (fairly embarrassing for me)
You have symptoms of painful red mark with yellow mucus near buttock which seems to be due to contact dermatitis and bacterial infection of hair follicles.
Need not to worry. For now take benadryl twice a day and apply cold compresses. You should wear loose clothes. I would suggest you to avoid touching or picking rash. Maintain complete hygiene. Apply Mupirocin over the infected site You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine, corticosteroid ointment and start treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
