Question. I have a red sclera in one of my eye only on one side. It seems like dilated veins. Sometimes it hurts but not always. I have had this for a while. It looks like puffy sclera but nice allergies and infections that I am aware of. The eye feels like it is a little tighter in the eye socket ( swelling) just on that one side. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having sectoral inflammation involving the sclera probably because of scleritis or episcleritis. The treatment is by use of non steriudal antiinflammatory drugs or by use steroid drugs in the form of eye drops. However it is scletitis diseases like rheumatoid arthritis which may be associated with it have to be ruled out. Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
