How To Treat A Stuffed Nose That Is Dripping Clear Fluid?

The left side of my nostril started dripping clear fluid Thursday and then became stuffed. I can sleep on either side and it only is in the left. The right side is normal with no mucus, stuffiness or dripping. What do you think is wrong with the left side? No trauma.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding dripping of fluid from left nostril only while right one is absolutely normal.

I would like to tell you that cold is a disease involving both nasal cavity it is never unilateral. Therefore one sided nasal discharge is always taken serious and the possibilities are-

1- Polyp in left nose.

2- Mass or neoplasm in left nose.

3- C.S.F. Rhinorrhea.

Therefore it becomes necessary to consult your ENT doctor for examination, investigations and treatment to avoid complications.
