How To Treat A Tension Inducing Lump In The Wrist?

Dear Doctor.. I have this little lump like structure under my skin on my left arm (upwards of the area where we tie watch). On touching, its looks like a fat deposit. It's been there for about 3-4 years with no pain etc. But, for the last 1 month or so, I feel some kind of tension in that area.. as if it is pulling through. Can you guide as to what it is?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Clinically , as per your description and development of tension, this looks to be a ganglion.
There are various treatment options available like operating to excise it completely, aspirating and injecting steroids and so on.
Please discuss with your Orthopedic Surgeon and follow his advise.
I find this answer helpful
