How To Treat A Torn A Ligament In Foot Which Is Painful And Swollen?
I am a very active 56 yr. old Choral Director...however in Nov. of this past year I thought I torn a ligament in my left top foot....I was advised by a podiatrist to wear a very snug but not constricting shoe..I have stopped working out and my condition has not improved....the top of my left foot is painful and swelled and both feet are sore and ache whether I work out or just sit on the couch...ugh..........please help me! ei

Hello, Thanks for your query. The ligament tear will heal on a conservative treatment with pain killers, anti inflammatory medicines, hot fomentation and physical therapy.
