HI I have developed a wet open sore on my back. it is raw looking and beginning to scab over.it only appeared 5 days ago, and I see another small one developing. It seemed to appear overnight and gets quite large. any ideas pleas as it looks unsightly and i am scared it could leave a nasty scar.
I can understand your concern for wet, open sore on back. It appears that the area got secondarily infected.
You should meet your treating doctor or preferably a surgeon to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.
I suggest you to go for culture and sensitivity of the wound to know the exact organism causing the infection. For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
Take care.
