Bipolar disease is a very complicated disorder. There are many medications on the market and new ones in development. I strongly advise you to find a psychiatrist that you like, feel comfortable with, as this disorder is chronic and will require frequent contact with the treating doctor. The good news is that with medication your disorder can be treated and not dominate your life.
