How To Treat Bleeding On Face Due To A Scratch?

My 4 year old son scratched his face and had a small blood vessel bleed. It took almost an hour to get it to stop bleeding. It's been a week or so and there is this raised red dot there now. Should we bring him to a dermtologist to have it removed? If he touches it too much it starts bleeding again.
