I have herpes on my lips I contracted it from a patient that spit in my face with a lot of slaver from her mouth i was working in a hospital and was transferring a patient to a wheel chair by holding her two knees together and looking up in her face from this position. i have been on valacyclovir for many years now when ever i try to get off this medicine the herpes reoccure on my lips in blisters that will burst into sores and will bleed and will be very crusty i have break outs from time to time if off the medicine my doctor is refusing to give me the medcine. what must i do , should i report him to the hospital?
The blisters will settle by few days with simple measures. You can take acyclovir tablets for five days and apply soft steroid ointment like Triamcinolone oral paste to your lips. It’s your right to get treatment and if not so, you can report him to the hospital.
