i went to the doctor yesterday, and they found that i had blood in my urine with the count of 10-15, now they want me to do a CATSCAn. what could be the cause, i need to also mention that my GYNO has found blood in my urine every year since 2006 the year after i gave birth to my son.
Dear! This is Dr. Rajiv Ranjan MS, FIAGES talking to you. Passage of blood in urine for long time is uncommon but worrisome for both patients and doctors. Possible causes may be chronic infection and tumors of urinary tract, hormonal abnormality, blood clotting disorders, heavy smoking, old age and so on. Also in my opinion the cause is unrelated to child birth. In your case the first thing to do is to evaluate your condition using ultrasonography, CT urography, angiography and urine cytology. The treatment is difficult (but yet possible) because the cause is difficult to ascertain. You must see a specialist urologist and work diligently over the issue. Thanks!
