Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have some pain in the middle of my chest upon inhaling and a small amount of pain when raising my left arm. The pain isn't significant but it feels almost like a pulled muscle. The pain isn't constant, just when inhaling deeply and small amount of pain when lifting my left arm. What could be causing this?
Hello, It really depends upon your age and general health. If you are young and usually healthy then it is likely a pulled muscle or muscle strain. If you have lung or heart disease or are older, then you need to see a doctor for an exam. Heart or lung disease could cause these problems but they are unlikely in the young and healthy. Regards
