How To Treat Child Passing Semisolid Stool After Every Meal?

Hi Doc,

My daughter who is 2 years 8 months old is passing semisolid stool after every meal for the last three days. She is active otherwisee. We are scheduled to travel by train (joureny of 30 hours) after two days. Not sure whether to visit her pidiatrician.

passing semisolid stools after every meal is a common for kids of that age. this is called gastrocolic reflex. here sooner the food is given the child passess stools.this quite normal phenomenon vl reduce slowly. no need to worry. no need to visit paediatrician. wear a diaper and take her to toilet in the train when ever she asks
