How To Treat Cold, Head Congestion And Breathing Difficulty To Relieve Bronchitis?

I have what appears to be a cold. The mucus seems to be getting worse even after taking liquid Muciex for 3 days now. Started with sever head congestion...could not breath at night, had to sit up and keep mouth open. Nasal spray helps temporarily. Today woke up cough was worse with mucus took rescue inhaler as deep breath was causing more cough. Sound like Bronchitis?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi, most of the time the cold as you mentioned is the main culprit causes breathing difficulties. here sinusitis is the medical term fits and sino bronchitis or sinobronchial syndrome exactly fits.
first we have to correct sinusitis .avoid cold intake and exposure, after headbath steam inhalation.
medical measures, antihistamines, mucolytes Will be helpful. in severe conditions steroids may be helpful. meet your ENT Dr.
