88 year old male-----top part of heart basically not functioning----causing bottom part of heart to work hard----conjestive heart failure diagnosed few weeks ago----heart has extra beats----------has parkinson's disease------would you recommend any procedure
Such heart failure patients are treated with diuretics, beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, there can be a need for digoxin or other medications as well. The doses are corrected based on heart rate, blood pressure and lab results.
