General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of extreme tiredness like symptoms of flu, antibiotics did not help, blood panels normal, upset stomach, no appetite, taste changed - all for 6 weeks now.
Had diarrhea in the first 2 weeks but constipated now, dry hickey cough, nausea occasionally, periodic extreme headache, responds to 2 Advil sometimes joint pains, low grade fever, lives in Chicago.
All the history which you have given so perfectly fits into the symptoms of Enteric fever or say typhoid or paratyphoid.
I would advise you the following in addition to the things you have done:
Stool tests for 3 consecutive days.
Widal test
Blood culture and sensitivity.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
X-ray chest.
Clinical evaluation, further tests if required and treatment suitable for the Enteric fever to be change to the one that the blood culture may give.
I find this answer helpful
