How To Treat Cough And Cold In A 2 Years And 8 Months Old Child?

My son is 2yrs and 8 months old. He gets cold and cough quite often. Initially doctor prescribed Allerid and now he has prescribed Montek lc for 1 month and Ambrolite-D syrup. Since Montek lc is mostly used for ashtma problems i am concerned that my kid is suffering from Ashmatic symptoms. Can you please let me know the prescription of montek lc kid tablet.

As you have rightly pointed out that Montek, a leucotriene antogonist is given for prevention and treatment of Asthma.
Viral infection like cold will trigger an attack of asthma in children having family history of asthma.
