How To Treat Cough With Itchy Throat And Phlegm?

I have a cough, very itchy throat with little phlegm. I thought first as asthma, and I have taken medicine but still not cured. It is more than a month of this coughing stuff. I cannot sleep due to cough and it soothes me drinking hot water before sleeping.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are asthmatic then the persistent cough may indicate that your asthma is not in control. Your inhalors would need to be adjusted.

If you are not a known asthmatic then it is possible that the coughing is related to post nasal drip of mucus.
This is caused either by infection or allergies.

Post nasal drip can be treated by avoidance of any allergens if known , oral anti histamines and topical steroid nasal sprays.

I hope this helps
