How To Treat Diarrhea In An Year Old Infant?
Our 12 month old baby has diarrhea 5 days today is 6th day. Up to 7 times a day. He is taking probiotic for 3 days and pedialite . He refused to eat today. Nursed only 2 times. We are very concerned as we see very rapid weight loss . Can we give neopeptine to stop the diarrhea? Anything to help him eat again please.

Weight loss within 6 days of diarrhoea suggests some underlying cause.
It may be due to acute dehydration also.
Better consult pediatrician to get to correct diagnosis and treatment.

Diarrhea is mostly viral in nature.
Give or after each loose stool.
Continue with probiotic
Give lemonade,coconut water,curd,boiled potato,banana.
In case symptom perlist get evaluated.
