How To Treat Enlarged Circumvallete Papillae? Is This Contagious?
How are you today? I recently, from what ive noticed, have gotten large to moderate bumbs on the back of my tounge. I looked up what it may be and i want to say it's enlarged Circumvallete papillae. I haven't experienced any kind of pain or irritation so I'm assuming I discovered it early. I would just like to know what i can do to get rid of them. I read that madicated candies and sprays work but I dont know which kind. Also should i start gargaling salt water and eating soup and other liquid foods? And lastely, is this contagious? Thank you for all your help.
I am so sorry to hearing about this disturbing finding. For sure, we need to establish what the cause is before we can tell whether it is contagious or not. Also, without you reporting any pain or irritation, I a not very convinced this would most likely represent an acute condition. It would need close examination for more information to be obtained to answer all of these questions. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just an incidental finding.
Starting with your primary care physician would be the way t go. If you should require specialist attention, he would make this decision and refer you accordingly.
I hope you find this helpful. I wish you the best of health. Thank you so much for using our services and doo feel free to request for more information if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
