i got burned on my face using a curling wand yesterday. i immediately put a cloth dipped in cool water on the burn. then i applied triple antibiotic ointment (pain relief) to it. i woke up and there is some hard yellow crust (idk?) on it? should i take the crust off...?? and what should i apply to my burn now?
Cold water compresses were the right thing to do, immediately after a burn.
The hard yellow crust is dead tissue which is going to fall off by itself, in a few days.
I would suggest that you apply a topical antibacterial cream/ointment over that area e.g mupirocin 2% ointment, twice daily for a few days, in order to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
