Endocrinologist 's  Response
Welcome to HCM!
Thank you for asking. I have gone carefully through your concern.
I would like to inform you that laser treatment is recommended after the androgen hormones are stabilized with therapy, otherwise it is ineffective.
There are some lines of treatment for PCOS depending on your age, weight, risk factors for breast cancer ect.
Oral contraceptive for 1 year period or longer would be effective to reduce the facial hair and improve the menstrual cycle. If you are overweight i would suggest to loose weight and start metformine. Spironolactone has a more powerful antiandrogenic effect.
You may discuss with your treating doctor about the above mentioned alternatives.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta Guni
