How To Treat Fever In Children And Is It Normal If Their Hands Burn?
I am waiting for mono results for my child. Fever x3 days with high fever x2 days.. My child is complaining of hands burning temp is 102.0 orally. My child is on amoxicillin x2 days bid for dx of tonsillitis..puss on tonsils has worsened. Fever has gotten as high as 104.9 but with OTC meds and luke warm baths I have been able to reduce fevers with the fever spikes staying around 102-103 range. We haven t seen 104 since yesterday am. I am just wondering what more I can do and if the complaints of hands burning is normal with fever?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms may be due to viral infection in my opinion let run the course of disease then every thing would be fine, this could take few days may be week, symptoms can be managed with antipyretic medicine if symptoms does not improved then routine blood test just to rule out the bacterial infection in female patient urinary tract infection is very likely, hope this information helps, take care.
