My room mate has had body lice for 2 1/2 months now. The dr. s are calling this a major infestation. I am so paranoid that I or my children will catch this. We have all gone to the Doctors office and received the permetrin cream about a month ago. She can t seem to get rid of the bugs and it is driving her into an obsessive/compulsive spin. Is there a medical condition that wold make her body not be able to respond to Permetrin? At this point should I treat my 10 yr old twins again? I don t know what to do, I am constantly looking for signs of lice on myself. She has either thrown away all of her clothing or bagged it up and put it in the garage.
Pediculosis corporis is the infestation caused by body lice. If you have really, then you go for proper treatment. There is no fun in treatment if you have just phobia. You consult the dermatologist and take advice and treatment properly.
