Hello ... I have a hernia on my right side for the last 18 years since my first son was born via c - section the last of my 5 pregnancies were all natural deliveries... I have not had any problems with my hernia but it has become a body image thing for me as it is now got larger over the last 12 months to the size of a large orange ... it is making me less confident with what I wear... I have seen a doc and he has said previously to go on a waiting list which at our hospitals in Aust. are really long....what should I do ...will go away with weight loss ? Hugs Linda
Hi. Thanks for your reference. Noted your history of having hernia since 18 years and had 5 normal deliveries without any issue. But off late since 12 months it has got bigger and making you conscious as to what to wear and so. You have been put on the waiting list. I think you can certainly wait as per the waiting list if there is no symptoms of obstruction, pain, fullness, nausea or vomiting. Get a proper appointment. Start on to improve hemoglobin and serum proteins so that you can have great recovery after surgery.
