Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is suffering from indigestion, he has not had anything for the past 2 days, his appetite seems to be very bad, also he has slight cold, my doctor has told he seems to have indigestion and probable infection and has suggested Zanocin syrup for him. However when I checked the leaflet which comes along with the medicine, it says that the medicine is for respiratory and urinary tract infections..is it fine to still go ahead and give him Zanocin?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, let me inform you that if this is the infection and confirmed then it has to be managed with antibiotic like it is being given (Zenocin) it is kind of antibiotic and it can be given in any infectious condition, like you stated it can be given for urinary and respiratory infection. If the given symptoms is not due to infection then no need to give any medicine and in my opinion it does not seems to be infection. hope this information helps.
