How To Treat Itchy Bumps On The Ears And Shoulders?
I have had itchy bumps that resemble bites on my scalp, mostly in the back between my ears for several months. Some are 3-4 in a row, some single & some feel like a patchy sore. They scab over & I can remove the scab. I first thought they were mosquito bites or noseem bites, but now I realize it must be something else. I also have had a small batch of itchy bumps at the top of my back between my shoulder blades that flares up from time to time for the past 10 months or so. What is it and how do I treat it?
Hi. As per your case history your skin disorder maybe either polymorphic light eruption or allergic contact dermatitis or seborrheic dermatitis. So we need to ask you- whether it appeared after sun-exposure? whether it appeared after using certain cosmetic like hair-dye? whether u have dandruff on scalp? Till you consult a dermatologist for perfect diagnosis, My treatment advice is- 1. Avoid direct sun-exposure and have your neck covered as well. 2.Use a anti-fungal plus mild steroid combination cream like candid-b cream twice daily. 3. Take anti-histaminic like tab.Levocetrizine for itching.
Thanks. Dr.Harshit Bhachech MBBS,DDVL
