Yes...I had my tubes tied 10 years ago, after having 2 c-sections and my appendix being removed while I was 7 months pregnant with my last child. I am now 5 days late which I've only ever been 2-3 days late. I have had some cramping for the last week or so but mild. I took a home pregnancy test and it came out negative?? What is happening?
Delay in periods could be related to stress and hormonal changes in the body.Thyroid function test should also be done to rule out any hormonal imbalance. Considering the fact that you have undergone tubal ligation 10 years before, the chance of pregnancy is less than 3 to 4%.
You can wait for a week for your periods and repeat pregnancy test if required. In case of negative result, you may require a hormonal treatment to resume your regular cycles. Your age has not been mentioned.History of other associated symptoms like hot flashes should be noted.Absent period for many weeks along with hot flashes, mood changes may indicate premature menopause.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
