How To Treat Menstrual Irregularity?

Hi, I am 42 and had the coil fitted three years ago to try and regulate my periods. Since then I have been on a 21 day cycle and though the bleeding is heavy it is managable. This month my period was 28 days after the last one and i had a lot of cramping and pain for a few days before hand. The bleeding started on Saturday and has been extremely heavy, with clots and las night i was soaked through twice. Do you think that my coil may have been moved?

Hello,

You need to know the exact location of your coil by doing a ultrasound examination of abdomen, tranaxemic acids may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
