Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a titanium rod put in my tibia six days ago. I've been struggling with nausea and dehydration since then due to pain meds so I quit taking them last night, but it still hasn't helped with the nausea. Also, this evening my leg started feeling cold --is this normal? I am miserable...
The nausea caused by opiate medication can take sometime to wear off. The coldness you are feeling in your leg is worrying and I would seek an immediate medical opinion regarding this as it could be a sign of a compartment syndrome or vascular problem with the leg .
