General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Is the pain in joints accompanied by stiffness in the morning that lasts 1 to 3 hours. How many joints are included? Do you have fingers deformity? Have you done any test such rheumatismal test, ESR, Rheumatoid factor, uric acid, protein C reactive, cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody? I suggest you to do these tests and visit a rheumatologist. Also losing weight is very important and doing activity like: walking, swimming.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Emilda Belortaja

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Ahmed Aly Hassan's  Response
Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly
thanks for using HealthcareMagic site ,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

IN my opinion you have a kind of arthritis which could be due to gout or rheumatoid . you mentioned using anti inflammatory tabs and applied topical gels and you are not that overweight .
You may begin with high fluid intake , avoid high salts and protein meals , increase your vegetation and salad .
For my patients i may recommend urine analysis , SUA (serum uric acid ) , ASOT (anti strepto lysin o titre ) and Rf ( rheumatoid factor ) and visit your physician for proper evaluation and management .
If you was diagnosed for rheumatoid i think your doctor will add an antibiotic and prednisone tabs to your painkillers while if gout he may add some proximol sachets or allopurinol sachets to lower your serum uric acid .the required dosing of your treatment is prescribed according to the extent and degree of your disease and physical condition .
