How To Treat Perthes?

Hi, I m a male 49yrs old. Had perthese since I was 7, have had xrays and they seem fine so I was told. The pain I am getting in he groin is really annoying, enough to not going back to work , have been this way for over 2 years and anti inflammatory pills don t work and have been on most of them . I have a high tollarance to any drug the doctors have given me . The one that had worked was Viox , and then they took it off. Is there something similar I could ask for that would help.? . Thank you for any help on this.

hi there
The goals of treatment of perthes disease are to decrease pain, reduce the loss of hip motion, and prevent or minimize permanent femoral head deformity and degenerative arthritis. Viox (Rofecoxib) belongs to the group of Coxibs. Rofecoxib is withdraw but other drugs in this category like Valdecoxib has similar action and can be taken alternatively.
Take Care
