How To Treat Pulsating Headache After Smoking?

hello doctor..i was wondering..ive been smoking hooka pipes since i was 15 (im 23) only on occassion, maybe once a month or even less, but every single time, 10 minutes afterwards i get pulsatile headaches..like the kind when im sitting or laying down its fine, but when i stand down it starts to hurt, on the back and sides of my head and irradiates to the back of the neck...arround c2-c4

Undeestanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms of sudden pulsating headache after smoking hookah which is because of sudden adrenaline rush in your body which causes stimulation of all sympathetic nervous system of your body and leads to headache along with pain in cervical region.

Nicotine present in hookah is the main causative agent for your condition.

I would suggest you to stop smoking hookah as it is interfering in oxygenation of blood as well.

If ever you will take hookah use in less quantity and go to ventillated place in between rather than smoking in closed place.

Maintain water balance of your body by taking plenty of fluids.
