How To Treat Pus And Blood Filled Small Lump In Ear Back?
My child has a small lump at the back of her ear which keeps filling with pus and blood and sometimes the lump looks really purple! She has her ears pierced but the lump isn t near the earring hole as it is half way up the back of her ear! While she was at the doctors for another problem I got him to check the lump and he said it would go down but it keeps going up an down and never clears up! Should I be worried or is it an infection which keeps re-occurring! Is she ok to swim while this ear is like this or could she cause more infection?
The symptoms seem to be related to an infected lump. Keep the area clean by washing the lump and surrounding skin well with soap. Apply warm, wet washcloths to the lump for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day. I also suggest to apply an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin cream.
