A while ago I scratched my raised mole by accident and I scratched it to hard and it hurt a lot afterwards when I touched it. It stopped hurting a week to two weeks afterwards but after I scratched it I had put a band aid on it. when I took the band aid off there was a little yellow fluid on the band aid (I think it bled also but this was such a long time ago that I can t quite remember). Many many many months later I look at it and I see a very tiny black bump that looks like an extremely tiny pimple. Should I be seriously concerned???
Hi. As per your case history of raised mole, my treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days. 4. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
