18 month old woke up yesterday with one eye red swollen with goop gave benadryl seemed to get better now this morning both r seollen red rimmed bloodshot and goopy? her dr wont be open till after holiday should i just keep washing them n keeping clean

From history it seems that she might be having acute muco-purulant conjunctivitis giving this problem.
Clean her eye with luke worm water and put antibiotic eye drops every 2-3 hourly.
Afterwards consult your doctor and get examined.
