Hello, I am a 28 year old female. I have been struggling with constanlty feeling restless. My body feels like a car engine that won t shut off. I m always tired. My heart feels like it races. I can be doing completely nothing but my body WON T relax and as a result it exhausts me. I feel like I process things slower than others and it takes longer for me to complete tasks than it did before. I even feel a physical pain from this restlessness. I am looking for help becuase I m exhausted and it physically hurts. Thanks. I
I can understand you distress. From what you have mentioned, it seems that you have symptoms of anxiety and depression. Getting tired, not able to relax, difficulty in concentration, anxiety with restlessness can all result from underlying depression.
I would advise you to seek a psychiatric consultation. Treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like sertraline would be helpful. In addition, benzodiazepines like clonazepam will decrease your restlessness initially and can be given for a short period of time. You should also start exercising daily as that will help you feel relaxed.
Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
