Hello, I recently had a seizure, the cause of which was not determined from a CT scan. I have been working long shifts in a cafe and I have noticed that the outside of my big toes is numb and sometimes painful, and I frequently suffer from light-headedness. Do you think these things could be connected?
My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!
Your symptoms are not connected to the seizures. Of course taking a lot of coffee can trigger seizures. The numbness in the big toes could be related to a pinched nerve. Coming to this point, I would recommend performing an EEG to investigate for seizures and avoiding coffee and alcohol intake in the future. It is necessary to monitor your blood pressure values (low blood pressure could cause lightheadedness). A nerve conduction study is necessary to investigate for the cause of the numbness in your toes, coupled with some blood lab tests (complete blood count, acid uric plasma levels, vitamin B12 levels, vitamin D levels, PCR, blood electrolytes).
Hope you will find this answer helpful! Best wishes!
