My husband just woke up to his nose on fire, including his throat and inside his head is on fire. He's drooling and his nose is running. He feels like he could die. I called Kaiser, and I was on hold for over five minutes... what should I do?? I'm scared!
Understanding your concern. As you mention in your query that you have symptoms of severe runny nose which can have many causes like sinus infection, cold and allergy . The most probable reason for running nose is allergic rhinitis. You should avoid the cause of allergy and use antihistamine nasal spray for it. I would suggest you keep using saline spray along with some antibiotic ointment and apply petroleum jelly to prevent dryness. You should not blow your nose hardly, avoid temptation of picking nose and take steam for congestion. Avoid touching or pricking nose with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
