How To Treat Shin Splints Caused Due To A Sprain?

So I think I have chin splints for a while, maybe I would say? Im currently in the middle of field hockey tryouts & I have practices if I make it everyday in aug except for weekends until school starts in September & I don t want to wear my chins out but I wanna do this team to midseason at the least to quit and I don t wanna quit yet after all my training. What should I do? Anything at home I should do?
