General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bacterial vaginosis and urinary tract infections have to be ruled out. Fishy odour of vaginal discharge is typical of bacterial vaginosis and requires to be treated with a 5 day course of antibiotics.

Urine routine along with culture and sensitivity may be required to rule out urinary tract infections. Adequate hydration and proper vaginal hygiene can help in early recovery.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
