Hello,
I can understand your concern for your wife's health.
1) She might be suffering from severe gastritis which is inflammation of inner layer of stomach due to either irritation or allergy from food.
2) Gastritis leads to pain and vomiting.
3) She must take anti-emetic medication to control vomiting, anti-spasmodic medication to control pain, anti-acidity medication to promote resolution of gastritis.
4) In addition she must avoid oily, spicy, over-cooked, partially cooked food. She must avoid alcohol also.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any further query, I would be happy to help you.
Have a good day!
