Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im a 44 yr old woman, I have family history of high blood pressure. My blood pressure is staying at an average of 155/100 ish and i have swelling in my legs and arms. I took a flight not so long ago and when I exited the plane after a 2 hr flight i could not walk due to leg and feet swelling? I know i should worry but should i also stress myself out with this issue and then make it even worse?
There is no point in getting worry and not doing any thing. Rather I would suggest you to show it to cardiologist and start taking treatment. You should also take salt restricted diet. If this remain untreated then there is chances that you are putting your heart which act like a pump more pressure. if this condition remains like this then there is chances of kidney and heart damage.
