How To Treat Swelling Of Throat After Swallowing A Bug?

I had my little girl at the doctor's office for a well-child. We left and as we walking to the car she started shrieking about her throat. She indicated she had swollowed a bug or something. I thought maybe she got a sting as it went down. She has been going on about the pain since, and I have been spraying chloraseptic on her throat from time to time. I just checked her neck and she flinched when I touched under her jaw bone. It is noticeably swollen. Can this wait until tomorrow and what may it be. She tells me now that she didn't swallow a bug. She is four.

Hi thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Looking at the information, there might be a chance of bug bite over the outer side of neck.

Your daughter may find relief by taking the following medications:
Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine.

If she suffers from difficulty in respiration, then it would be advisable to consult an Emergency doctor.

Hope this answers your question.Take care.
