How To Treat Swollen Lips And Throat Irritation Caused By Eating Spicy Food?
My throat, roof of my mouth and lips are irritated and sensitive to spicy food, and swallowing in general. The symptoms started with a clear, filmy drainage and sore throat. I woke up this morning with cotton mouth and swollen lips. The swelling went down after showering.
Your symptoms of soreness in mouth, lips and throat with swollen lips and clear drainage is pointing towards allergic reaction..
If there is cotton mouth with white coating on tongue then it can also be due to oral yeast infection or oral thrush..
So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated so that a clinical examination can be done..
For now start gargling with specialised mouthwash like Magic Mouthwash and do warm saline gargles.. Avoid spicy and irritant foods. Take a Vitamin B complex tablet daily..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
