How To Treat The Bruised And Painful Elbow Caused By A Fall?

Hi

I fell on Friday and landed on the corner of my elbow. It swelled immediately and a large bruise surrounding the elbow itself appeared. The swelling has now subsided but its still very bruised and painful. Just wondering if I should get it checked out ?

You should have an X-ray of your elbow to ensure that you do not have a fracture. In the meantime, ice, splint age in a sling and an anti-inflammatory drug should help with your symptoms.
