How To Treat The Cut On My Son's Foot?

my 2 yr old has a cut on his foot not sure how he got it really, we are outside alot. but this morning it has a red streak coming from it. should i take him or dr in the morning there office is closed for the 4th of july or should i take him to the er today

Because of their increased activity children are more prone to get injured.Many a time the injury is noticed later.
Maintain proper hygiene to avoid infection to the cut site.Apply antibiotic ointment like mupirocin to prevent infection.
If the cut is not deep it will improve within 4-5 days with this measure.
