How To Treat The Initial Stage Of Mental Disorder?

Doctor, My father is currently affected with initial stage of mental disorder due to office and personnel life problems. He is speaking continuously about his past 40 years small small incidents which has insulted / affected him. Currently he is taking heavy sleeping doses and require a best suggestion to cure him immediately.

Most of Acute onset mental ailments usually resolve within one month. Giving sedative is fine but if there are behavioral problems than low doses of antipsychotic like risperidone must be given.
